Data Deletion

Last updated: June 14, 2026

Meta / Instagram App Requirement

This page fulfills Meta's requirement for apps using the Instagram Graph API to provide a data deletion callback URL and clear instructions for users to request data removal.

What Data We Store

When you use InstaDesk, we store:

  • Your InstaDesk account (name, email, hashed password)
  • Connected Instagram account profiles (username, bio, profile picture)
  • Instagram access tokens (used to call the API on your behalf)
  • Instagram Direct Message conversations and messages (synced on your request)

How to Delete Your Data

Option 1 — Remove Instagram account from dashboard

Log in → Accounts tab → click the trash icon next to your account. This removes the access token and all synced conversations for that account.

Option 2 — Revoke app access from Instagram

On Instagram: Settings → Security → Apps and Websites → find InstaDesk → Remove. This revokes our access token so we can no longer access your account.

Option 3 — Full account deletion

Email us at support@messagevault.2fasolver.com with subject "Delete my account". We will permanently delete all data associated with your account within 30 days and send you a confirmation email.

Deletion Timeline

Upon receiving a deletion request, we will permanently remove all your data from our database within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete.

Note: We cannot delete data from Instagram's own servers — only from our database. To delete messages from Instagram itself, use Instagram's native deletion features.
